Spring 2019 Grab Bag Week 9: Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin

This series really knows how to come out of left field, but I think this episode had an interesting concept behind it.

Spring 2019 Grab Bag Week 7: Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin

This series has been in such a weird grey area for me. If I had to qualify it, I'd say it's almost like the series has too much whimsy while trying to deliver something serious.

Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin Episode 4: Drinking buddies

This series still seems to meander in weird ways, but this episode started to get at what I like to see in shows like this.

Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin Episode 3: A tricky foe

This series is such a strange experience. This week's episode sets up Kohaku as a generally capricious character, rather than sticking with him as an antagonist.

Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin Episode 2: An enemy appears

I felt like this second episode walks back a bit on some of the goodwill I granted for the first episode.

Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin First Impressions (1): Keeping the supernatural peace

I didn't know what I was getting myself into with this series, but I was happy with this episode when I heard the music playing in the very first scene.

Occultic;Nine Final Episode (12): That was a lot

I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Was this really the final episode? The episode flew through so many developments at the speed of light, so I'm not fully convinced. This series feels like a 2-cour series squashed into 1. That being said, the series ended up being enjoyable overall. I still have a lot of questions, but maybe this episode warrants a second watch.

Occultic;Nine Episode 11: Falcon punch

Phew...lot of stuff going on this week. The "science" in this series still pisses me off, but the events themselves was pretty interesting. While it looks like people have generally clustered together, I wonder they're all going to get together.

Occultic;Nine Episode 10: So much tilt

Lot of questions this week. For me, I think the most important one is why Yuuta is such an important main character when he really hasn't demonstrated anything to that nature. But yeah...hard to judge until these questions get answered. Also, try not to get motion sickness watching the episode.

Occultic;Nine Episode 9: Yeah, this all makes sense

I have to admit that I wasn't all too interested watching the stuff happening with Miyuu this week. I was more curious about what Ryouka was doing...she seems to get fed up with her act in this episode and I want to know what she's really doing. Second interesting piece of the episode was the fact that Miyuu's astral form was affected by something happening in the physical world. It could mean that the astral forms aren't as immortal as they were sold to be.
