Friday Fun: Favorite Themes from Winter 2017

Nice and simple for today (and not because I'm being lazy)...just going to go through my favorite songs from the Winter 2017 season with the season coming to a close.

Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Episodes 39 and 40: Most hated character of all time

Yeah, I'm going to be trashing on Iok.

Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Episode 38: Full Power

Well, the fight between Barbatos and the Mobile Armor went...pretty quickly. After so many episodes, I feel like I still don't understand Mikazuki and Orga. At this point, it's looking like Mikazuki will become just like Ein by the end of the series, so I guess there's no hope for the harem, huh?

Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Episode 37: Time for Trans Am?

I'm a little sad about Akihiro taking a back seat in this battle and melding into the background as usual, but I'm looking forward to the upcoming battle. I think this week's episode had a lot of good moments, specifically in that a lot of side characters got some action.

Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Episode 36: That one guy who really should just quit

Yeesh, Iok made this episode pretty cringe. Anyway, this week's episode starts the battle against the big bad Mobile Armor. Again, I feel like the episode has the problem of explaining things I don't care about and ignoring things I do. So more answers next week?

Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Episode 35: The robots are taking over!

Honestly, I don't mind a simple "take down the sentient AI" storyline in a Gundam series if that's what we're getting. Still, thinking more on it, it probably doesn't make much sense for this Mobile Armor incident to be more than an interruption. It does make all of the diplomatic maneuvering we've been getting before this point a bit questionable. And it's not like there would be too many other Mobile Armors to mobilize...right?

Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Episode 34: Masks are so mysterious

Well, I was looking forward to seeing Vidar in combat for the first time, but was that an engagement against real enemies or just a training exercise? Maybe it was the training exercise from the start of the episode and the general atmosphere of the episode giving me that impression. Anyway, not all too much happening this week. Hopefully we get a battle between Gjallarhorn and Tekkadan next week.
