Fall 2018 Previews

Summer is mostly resolved, so it's about time to post a preview for fall. As always, the summary is at the bottom if you want the quick version.

  • Akanesasu Shoujo - Sounds like "cute girls doing cute things", so I might end up trying it out.
  • Anima Yell - I'm not particularly interested in cheerleading as a focus for a series, to be completely honest. I might just stick with Akanesasu Shoujo and call it a day.
  • Bakumatsu - This sounds suspiciously like a reverse harem, but I might end up watching it for the historical side.
  • Beelzebub-jou no Okinimesu mama - This series could be some promising fluff. I'm on board!
  • Conception - I have a history with video game adaptations, don't I? Well, I considered playing this game, so I suppose I might be obligated to watch it.
  • Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu - I think I'll pass on the idol show this time.
  • Double Decker! Doug & Kirill - This is kind of a weird setup for a buddy cop show, but I'm willing to give it a shot. It could be fun.
  • Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-san - Another maybe. A skeleton might be fun for comedy, but I don't really have much to go on.
  • Gakuen Basara - The historical angle of Date Masamune vs. Sanada Yukimura is something I've seen a lot, and I'm not particularly enthused to see it put in a generic school setting. I might check it out, but it's not looking great.
  • Goblin Slayer - I actually managed to not read the manga or the light novel for this series after hearing that an adaptation was coming. I've heard good things about the series, so I'm definitely interested in watching. I might do something where I read along as well. Sounds like fun.
  • Golden Kamuy S2 - Well, I liked the first season, so I'm probably committed.
  • Gyakuten Saiban S2 - I'm actually shocked that this series got a second season given how little mention I saw for the first season. I didn't really mind watching the first season, so I'll probably watch this one too. I doubt I'd write posts about it, though.
  • Hangyaku-sei Million Arthur - More game adaptations? I might have to limit my selection down. Anyway, I guess I'll say maybe for this one?
  • Hinomaru-Zumou - I don't actually have that much interest in sumo, and sports shows are typically my bane, so it's not looking great.
  • Hora, Mimi ga Mieteru yo - I like cute stories.
  • Hu Li Zhi Sheng - The idea of using someone else as a public face for yourself is an interesting premise. I might end up checking it out to see where the series takes it.
  • Ingress - Since when has sci-fi ever gone wrong? Either way, Makoto's power is enough to make me curious.
  • Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara - I've always had a weird problem with the idea of colors, but this premise is fairly interesting. I'm sure most of the symbolism will be lost on me, but I can give it a shot.
  • Karakuri Circus - This is kind of an odd premise (I was never one for puppets), and I'm not entirely sure I'm up for 36 episodes of it. Maybe?
  • Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru - I think I'm burned out on sports anime, and I don't particularly like running as a sport. I might have to pass on this.
  • Ken en Ken: Aoki Kagayaki - I might just need to draw a game adaptation out of a hat for this season. This is way too much.
  • Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet - Can I pass this one too?
  • Merc Storia - Fantasy adventure could be interesting. I might give it a try.
  • Ore ga Suki nano wa Imouto dakedo Imouto ja Nai - This seems very familiar. Can I pretend like I've watched this series before?
  • Radiant - I'm not going to lie. This premise looks really boring. But I've been surprised before, so we'll see how things go.
  • Release the Spyce - I'm not sure why this series isn't called "release the spies", but I could go for it. Sounds almost like Princess Principal.
  • RErideD - This one has technically already come out, and I haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm probably going to end up checking it out, but I'm a bit preoccupied at the moment. If it continues along with its weird release schedule, I might have to pass on posting about it.
  • Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl-senpai no Yume wo Minai - This series is one that I came across as a manga. I remember starting it, and then stopping for some reason. In the spirit of previous cases like this, I'll probably give the anime a try to see what I might have missed.
  • Sora to Umi no Aida - Okay, that's kind of a strange premise. Sure, why not? I can give it a try.
  • SSSS.GRIDMAN - Nothing in this synopsis really stands out yet, but I don't mind watching it to see where it goes. Not many other mecha choices in this season.
  • Sword Art Online: Alicization - Do I have to?
  • Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken - I read the manga for this series and quite liked it. It's not the most fresh take on isekai, but I like the concept of building a society in another world as a monster instead of a human.
  • Toaru Majutsu no Index S3 - Look, I know it's blasphemy, but I've never finished watching the previous seasons of Index. So...skip?
  • Tokyo Ghoul:re 2 - I dropped the first season, so I don't really have many options here.
  • Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san - I read the manga for this series, and it's good for cute fluff. I'm on board.
  • Tsurune: Kazemai Koukou Kyuudou-bu - Well, archery is a sport that actually interests me, so I might need to rethink the "no sports shows" thing. And on a random note, do you really "play" archery? That sounds odd.
  • Uchi no Maid ga Uzasugiru - Uhh...maybe.
  • Ulysses: Jeanne d'Arc to Renkin no Kishi - I might just watch this series for the historical aspect if there is one. I've seen Joan of Arc enough times in media to be curious.
  • Yagate Kimi ni Naru - I think I've seen this series mentioned a few times by other people. I should probably check it out for research purposes, right?
  • Zombieland Saga - Nice synopsis. Uhh...zombies can be fun?
