Angolmois - Genkou Kassenki Episode 5: Explosions!

This series seems to be in a bit of a morale-building phase, but it's still pretty enjoyable. The story behind Jinzaburou's exile was interesting, and I liked how they're fighting against the numbers of the Mongols. The animation in the fights still seems a bit sketchy, but they've mostly been skirmishes so far.

I was surprised to see Teruhi freak out like this. I suppose she still has a long way to go.

You don't say...

The idea of using the cliff to funnel Mongols isn't revolutionary, but it makes sense. I'm on board with this.

Jinzaburou's background takes him down a notch. From it, we see that he's devoted and talented, but he's more limited than we've seen so far. Still, the fact that he's deaf to politics seems consistent with how he has been acting on the island.

This part of Jinzaburou's character seems a bit cheesy to me. I get that it's supposed to give him a more positive trait, but it seems too extreme. I feel like you can make him reluctant to lose warriors without creating this kind of hard principle.

These fight animations seem like they're deteriorating. Most of the combat in this episode consisted of still frames with yells in the background.
