Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens Episode 11: Time for a final confrontation

This week's episode was another fun one. A couple of points were questionable to me, but I still liked the way Lin progressed in this episode. I also really liked some of the smaller scenes in the episode that lightened the mood.

For such a brief scene, this opening scene was great. I'm always a fan of little references like this. Saruwatari sees the glint and realizes later that it's Banba.

I'm a little torn on this scene. I really enjoyed the way it showed Lin's relationships without overly calling attention to the idea that he has friends now. However, I think I would have preferred if it happened more naturally, rather than being a result of Enokida's influence.

In case it wasn't clear, Hayashi Noriaki is the Japanese pronunciation for the Chinese characters in Lin's name. When I first saw it, I thought it might have been a reference to the fake name Lin used in the previous episode.

The waiter's reaction when Saruwatari says he wants to kill someone is priceless.

So, Feilang's plan was to bet on the fact that Lin would somehow notice the pattern in his first two kills and find the last guy to meet up? I mean...at least have a fourth available as a backup if you're gonna go for that.

Well, we couldn't really be too surprised by this scene after Lau specifically asked whether this guy could betray his friend.

You know, I was really hoping Lin would say something like this while I was watching this scene. I thought it might not have fit his character, but I'm glad to be proven wrong.
