ACCA - 13-ku Kansatsu-ka Episode 6: Accidents happen

I'm not all too sure what to take from this episode other than the background on Jean and Lotta. I've seen a lot of the theories that Jean and Lotta are related to the royal family and I feel like we got a lot of hints of that in this episode. I think the moment in this episode where Jean starting acting proactive about the coup was of note as well...since it's pulling him out of his silent observer role. I'm curious to see where that goes.

Curse you, Nino! This is your fault! Don't think I forgot what you said ominously last week. I don't care if you're still a kid at this point because it happened in the past!

But on a serious note, the guy on the news says that they're "going to" devote all resources to rescuing the survivors of the train wreck, which implies that they haven't started. So how do they already have a list of casualties?

This is an interesting opinion from Jean and I think it makes a lot of sense. He respects Grossular for his effort to reduce the kinds of train accidents that killed his parents, which leads to his belief that Grossular is not a bad person. The line from Grossular as Jean walks away has me a bit skeptical now...I can't tell whether the show is trying to make him obviously suspicious or something given that he's been the main suspect this whole time.

I guess it's party time. At some point, I'll figure out what these characters are doing.

Looking a little sketchy there.

Well, she certainly seems sincere.

I like this Hawaii district already. I like that it makes sense that the chiefs are older given the higher life expectancy of the district.

Is Jean about to pull out some espionage?

Should I be reading more into the fact that we don't get a face on this painting?

What could this mean?

Ouch was exactly my reaction when Mauve dropped that line on Jean. It will be interesting to see what Jean does now that she seems to have written him off.
After the painting moment I'm more and more convinced that Jean and Lotta have a royal family connection. I'm not sure exactly what that connection is or how significant its going to end up being but it just seems like the show has pushed us into that conclusion.

it's interesting that he seems to legitimately be affected by that since he normally seems so unfazed.

the connection might be part of why ppl are so interested in jean regarding the coup

Yes, it is odd that the only two times we've really seen Jean a little out of sorts both had to do with Mauve. I wonder where they are taking this.

that's a good point...i think my suspicions of her are pretty low at the moment, so it would be interesting to see where it goes.
