Tales of Zestiria the X Episode 16: Let's put Rose in a dress

So, next week we're done with Rose? To the anime's credit, they're at least making her seem more like an actual character in the story, there to play off Sorey, rather than a heroine shoe-horned into replace Alisha. Anyway, I don't really have too many comments on the moral issue of whether there can be justice attained through killing.

I'm pretty annoyed with the cliffhanger at the end. Given that Rose missed a vital point on the helpless target and the fact that Sorey is pushing so hard to stop her from killing, it feels like they're strongly suggesting that Rose doesn't end up killing the target. Of course, this makes no real sense because she's had no real problem killing up to this point and this person is, probably, the person who most deserves to die in her eyes.

I didn't know Rose had a costume like this. They really want us to like Rose.

Ohh...it's all a dream.

Wait...didn't Dezel already explain this? How dense are these guys?

If I remember correctly, there's another reason why Dezel hangs around Rose in the game, so I'm guessing this is just the characters' way of suggesting that. It's pretty awkward, though, since it doesn't make sense given the information they already have.

Mikleo and Edna are such good friends.

Oh, Dezel just told them. Kinda makes Sorey and Mikleo's secret meetings seem a bit pointless.

I never got too much further in the game, but I'm guessing this setup is specific to the anime, where Dezel and Rose are bringing more of the dark side of justice to the team. It doesn't seem like a bad dynamic...

Wait...I thought Dezel's revenge plot was supposed to be something different. Are they removing his revenge plot from the game to align him with Rose? If that's the case, then he may really not have...the same progression as he did in the game.

Elixirs are like narcotics? That completely changes the way I think about the item in the game.

It was about midday when Mikleo left to meet up with Sorey, right? It's already dusk now, so how the heck will Sorey make it back in time? He first has to reach the point where Mikleo split off and then make up the remaining distance that they traveled after that. But I guess the plot demands that he make it in time...

I'm with you, Rose. How the heck did he survive that? Is the show trying to tell me "oh Rose missed the vital point because she was thinking about Brad"?

...Dezel kinda has a point.

...

Haha well, that makes me feel better after watching that episode ending. Yeah, that's totally how I cook...got my good buddy, the water seraph to help out.

I liked that they felt we needed a recipe for shaved ice. And yeah, I'll totally just get a seraph to help out because that's a logical step. But I really do love these skits and they do make me hang around after the credits each week.
Yeah, Rose not killing the guy just makes no sense. He was pretty much defenceless and she's pretty much been established as an unstoppable assassin. Oh well, narrative convenience strikes again.

i cant imagine another way to do it...

my other thought on that was that konan wasnt human, which would explain why he survived the first strike...but he didnt really show any outward signs of malevolence. i dont think this scene happened at all in the game

I was wondering if he was going to be superhuman or something but then he just kind of runs away and not very effectively so I'm thinking Rose just stuffed it, which makes no sense.
