Occultic;Nine Final Episode (12): That was a lot

I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Was this really the final episode? The episode flew through so many developments at the speed of light, so I'm not fully convinced. This series feels like a 2-cour series squashed into 1. That being said, the series ended up being enjoyable overall. I still have a lot of questions, but maybe this episode warrants a second watch.

Pep talk before the final battle?

Uhh...

I'm glad this got translated as "hypothesis" instead of "theory". It's the little things that count. Anyway, I feel like this revelation is a nice point for Sarai, but somewhat invalidates the detective. His knowledge of the time translation only really puts a clock on the final episode.

What a name drop! Roll credits.

Also, I didn't consider the possibility of resuscitation, but even if it's possible to shock the body back to life within 9 minutes of death, we're talking about 256 bodies that need to be fished out and revived. Also, we're talking about shocking a wet body. And how do they even arrange the rescue if it's in the past? So many problems with this...

At this point, I'm not even going to bother speculating on how they're gonna solve their apparent dilemma. Given that their backup strategy is to use the gun, I'm guessing they magically find the key.

Woooo...

Time to be a hero, buddy. Also, the scene after this line is a rare scene of absolute silence in this series that feels like it lasts an eternity...not bad.

The true culprit!

I don't understand how all of these "shocking developments" can be happening with a few minutes left in the final episode.

Also, Yuuta comes back from this because...well, reasons.

This whole "ghosts can manifest anything they think want" thing at the very last second seems a bit too convenient.

Final shocking truth!

Final Score: 7/10
