Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Episode 34: Masks are so mysterious

Well, I was looking forward to seeing Vidar in combat for the first time, but was that an engagement against real enemies or just a training exercise? Maybe it was the training exercise from the start of the episode and the general atmosphere of the episode giving me that impression. Anyway, not all too much happening this week. Hopefully we get a battle between Gjallarhorn and Tekkadan next week.

There's definitely something more going on with Vidar. He's so obviously Gaelio, but he keeps making weird references to Ein like he's still alive.

I can't tell whether this is intentional or just a series of awkward translations. Last week, Vidar mentioned something about someone who definitely wasn't Ein being "close to him", so a possible interpretation is that Vidar is referring to Ein when he says this line.

Also, is the only reason Vidar hasn't been in combat so far just that he was having technical difficulties? Surely this isn't the case...

Oh right...I forgot about that Gundam they found. When is that going to be operational? Also, the way that they "playfully" try to wave away Merribit's concerns makes me think that the new Gundam is cursed or something.

I vaguely remember Orga mentioning last week that accepting McGillis's proposal for becoming King of Mars would require talking it over with Teiwaz. I feel like Naze's role in this season has been too much like a plain messenger for Tekkadan. Heck...I wouldn't be surprised if he gets killed off soon based on how the conversation goes.

Is there a point to this?

When did Hush transition from wanting to beat Mikazuki to being basically a gopher?

Huh? Wait...wha? B-but...Orga...

Oh yeah...what has Kudelia been doing this season too? I'm going to forget about the phone call that she's having here...

Did something go wrong with this scene? We see the shot come out of the gun and hear the two gunshots, but we see no shots. Ioq even talks about how the enemies here "dodge" the shots, but they seem to just float leisurely.

He is Gundam!

Quick! How do we make him look graceful? Make it look like he's fencing!

Eh...I'll put this here for no reason in particular.

I think the whole gopher thing came about after he realised how useless he was in real combat. It wasn't exactly a smooth transition but it did seem that the change in his personality started after his first real failure in the fight.
