Bungou Stray Dogs Episode 18: The Port Mafia show

First moves go to the Port Mafia. Pretty cool tactics so far, but this war isn't going to be interesting if they control the flow completely. I'm really looking forward to see how the other sides retaliate. I still think this second season is interesting...but again, surprisingly low amount of Atsushi, so I wonder why...

More authors that I know! I guess making Nathaniel Hawthorne the sin-obsessed guy is fair.

I get the feeling this note is no joke, so I should probably just forget these two characters.

I honestly forgot who the Port Mafia member was until I saw this. And he's definitely a decoy, right? Or rather...red herring?

Yeah yeah, he was a trap all along. More importantly, what happened to the scarlet letter on his chest? Also, immunity to lemon-shaped bombs is oddly...specific.

As someone forced to read The Scarlet Letter in school, I'm okay with this.

Are they trying to make us care about Akutagawa? It's not working.

Poor Margaret didn't get to do anything in this battle.

Really not much going on here on the Agency side of things...

So...he came to get them to kill some of the Guild members for the Port Mafia? That seems...pretty boring.

I like how Rampo is actually useful in this season.

I can't decide if Rampo is actually good at deducing motives or if the other detectives are just really bad. Unless he figured out more than they revealed his deduction is pretty obvious.
I have to agree that the western authors of the guild showing up has at least made the literary references easy to understand even if Margaret's issues with failure and poverty was a little over the top.
    Thanks for sharing.

this is still better than having dazai explain everything for him...

    Huh, lemons.

Not a terrible episode, nor an especially engrossing one either. Still, the goofiness is largely kept a minimum, which is something to be thankful for, I guess.

yeah, the second season's been doing a decent job of minimizing that stuff...
