91 Days Final Episode (12): Finishing off the season

Let me finish off the summer season here before we start with the new stuff. I expected this series to end in a fiery blaze of glory, but this was pretty tame for a final episode. I'm still not sure how I feel about it, but overall I still think the series was an entertaining ride.

Given that we never see Avilio's body in the end, it's hard to say what happened. I wonder if it's one of those purposely ambiguous endings meant to allow the audience to decide. It could honestly go either way for me...leaving Avilio alive fits more with a message of stopping the perpetuation of revenge, but part of me thinks the show is more interesting if Avilio dies.

Mob fights! Excitement! Where has this been?

Honestly, I was expecting the scene where Nero finds out Avilio is Angelo Lagusa would be a bit more impactful...guess there's other stuff to do?

This makes sense. Dying is so much easier than living. Solid revenge, Avilio.

Well, that's convenient...

One more mission?

I'm still trying to figure out why Avilio's still alive right now.

Emotion from Avilio?

I guess this scene is supposed to be the expected message from the series. Avilio realizes that devoting his life to revenge still leaves him empty inside because revenge is never good enough or whatever.

Oh snap.

This probably symbolism, but I have no idea what it means.

Final Score: 8 out of 10 (I say 8, but it's probably more like 7.5)
