Dimension W Final Episode (12): So...what just happened?

Carry us to victory, Loser!

Meanwhile, Kyouma's chilling underground in need of a pep talk before the final battle...

Oh hey...a character pointing out some oddly convenient timing. I guess it wasn't all a coincidence after all.

Sure...this is how memories work. I'm guessing by "tracing your memories", you mean just reliving everything that happened after Kyouma used Genesis, right? Sigh...

Looks like Mira is channeling her inner Cortana.

What is even going on here? I'm guessing Kyouma will explain soon, but the memories I'm seeing here still don't explain how Miyabi's choice to die and the disappearance of Genesis are linked.

Mira getting captured is just typica- WHAT IS GOING ON WITH KYOUMA'S FACE??

Well...that's slightly disappointing, but I guess it makes sense that Kyouma would destroy it. I just couldn't understand why Seameyer was so convinced that it still existed...

Everyone! Give me your energy!

Wait...what? This better not be the true Genesis. I guess they needed to tie up that "coil going wild" loose end.

So...his thrusters got him to Kyouma just in time to save him from hitting the ground, but aren't strong enough to stop the momentum of the fall?

How mysterious...it's alive!!!

Not many screenshots for this final episode because frankly, I had no idea what I was watching. This series ended up being a mess, honestly, with far too many questions left at the end. I'm going to go into a mini-rant mode now:

First off, it's never explained why Miyabi's death and Kyouma's choice to destroy Genesis were linked. Based on what I got from this episode, it sounds like Kyouma wanted to use Genesis to save Miyabi and Miyabi chose to die rather than let Genesis get in the wrong hands. However, the memory made it look like Miyabi's surgery was going according to plan before Kyouma shows up, so does that mean she would have been fine and in Mira's body if Kyouma hadn't try to give her Genesis? Because I feel like that's an important question that should be answered.

Secondly, after the events of the final episode, it looks like Kyouma is still maintaining his style of never using coils. Does he have a new justification for this now or is this just lazy writing? Because he said on the island that he was just using the coils as an excuse for what happened on the day of Miyabi's death...sounds like the writers were just too lazy to change him.

And finally, and possibly most importantly, Mira is never explained. Sure, I understand that she was Miyabi's intended body, but it doesn't explain her behavior and how much it was intended to mimic real human behavior. Miyabi would have been in control if the operation succeeded, so there was no need to design an intricate AI for the system. And if you'll remember from the haunted island arc, Mira pretended to be a lifeless robot in order to seem more like the robots that are normally seen in society, so her personality is actually her defining aspect. Why did Dr. Yurizaki create Mira? Just to have something like a "daughter"? His final words sounded like the parent pushing the child on the world, I guess...is that really all there was to it?
