Death Parade First Impressions (1): That got pretty real

Basically, I watched this show because I was curious about how it incorporated the genres that were used to label it. In a nutshell, the series is about a bar that people are sent to when they die to be judged for the "afterlife". It was pitched as deciding heaven and hell, but the end of the episode suggests a reincarnation system instead. It is interesting that the point of the game isn't to decide a winner, but to show people's true colors in order to make the final decision happen, but kinda expected.

I'm not sure how to really feel about this show. On the one hand, I can see it being interesting, but on the other hand, I can see it being a lot like Hell Girl, where every episode is the same recipe of deception and corruption. And honestly, that gets boring after a while. Music-wise, I don't have any big initial complaints about the opening and ending songs...I'd probably have to listen to them some more before making a final decision. At first glance, though, the ending probably seemed more solid to me.
