Summer 2014 Season Previews

Skipping shows that don't require mention and tl;dr summary at the bottom. Same old stuff.

  • Bakumatsu Rock: Not sure what this is, but it looks boring.
  • Glasslip: Looks very slice-of-life, so probably not much going to be happening. Highly doubt I'll watch it and it definitely won't be covered.
  • Shirogane no Ishi Argevollen: One of the mecha shows for next season. I think I missed a lot of them this season because I didn't find their first episodes too interesting, but I'll give this one an honest shot. This is a potential candidate to be covered.
  • Tokyo Ghoul: This looks like it might be interesting. If they go too far into the gruesome with the horror, I might duck out, but I'm willing to try. If it's interesting enough, I'll probably cover this.
  • Rail Wars: Uhh...what is this?
  • Sword Art Online II: I think I can handle this. Who's with me?
  • Aldnoah.Zero: Well, I was disappointed with the last Gen Urobuchi (Gargantia), so I'm entering this one with some hopes and dreams. Sawano Hiroyuki is doing the soundtrack (composer for Guilty Crown and Shingeki no Kyojin), so that helps. At the very least, it will sound good, right?
  • Akame ga Kill: I read the manga for this one and it seemed interesting. I'll probably cover this if my knowledge of the manga doesn't interfere too much with enjoyment.
  • Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun: I actually read some of the manga for this one and I found it kinda funny when I started. I stopped reading because it has been kinda tapering, but I'll probably watch this to see what's up. Definitely not going to be covered though.
  • DRAMAtical Murder: I know I like mystery shows, but I think I'll pass on the show based off of a BL game.
  • Jinsei: Uhh...willing to watch the first episode to check it out. Probably not covered. It looks like standard romcom to me.
  • Hanayamata: This is another maybe.
  • Himegoto: Pass.
  • Hamatora S2: I wasn't a huge fan of the first season, but the cliffhanger at the end has me curious...this is a tough decision.
  • Ao Haru Ride: Shoujo romance...likely not happening
  • Momo Kyun Sword: Please no.
  • Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei: Please dear god no.
  • Yama no Susume S2: I actually thought this show was pretty refreshing. It's a short anime, though, so just going to be watching it on my own time.
  • Persona 4 the Golden Animation: How is this supposed to be different from the original series? Just adding a new character? extra arc? This confuses me.
  • Zankyou no Terror: Looks promising. Will be giving it a try.
  • Psycho Pass: Only a remake...give season 2 please.
  • Rokujyouma no Shinryakusha: See "Jinsei".
  • Tokyo ESP: I've actually read the manga for this one, but I can't seem to remember what happens. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
  • Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance: See "Jinsei". It's very likely I'm just going to pick one of these and forget the rest.

Probably covered: Tokyo Ghouls, Sword Art Online II, Aldnoah.Zero, Zankyou no Terror, Shirogane no Ishi Argevollen

Might be covered and probably going to watch - Akame ga Kill, Hamatora S2, Tokyo ESP, Jinsei/Rokujyouma no Shinryakusha/Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance (probably one of these three)

Might watch/follow but very unlikely to cover - Glasslip, Rail Wars, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, Hanayamata, Yama no Susume S2, Persona 4 the Golden Animation (depends on what's different)

Not interested - Bakumatsu Rock, DRAMAtical Murder, Ao Haru Ride, Momo Kyun Sword, Prism Illya S2, Psycho Pass, anything on the chart not mentioned
