Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito 2

Well, that was interesting. Apparently, Akito was able to link with the other pilots in his Geass state. So many questions, though. It looks extremely likely that Akito'sĀ Geass state is a result of his brother's Geass being cast on him, but what exactly is this ability? One possibility I see is that this series is looking to go into the science behind the Geass, linking the seemingly magical power of Geass to the brain. This theory comes from the fact that the neuro devices were mentioned as the catalyst for the linkage. It's possible that the Geass itself just coincidentally caused this effect due to the nature of the devices.

Another possibility is that Xin's power is much more different than Lelouch's power than we realize. This one seems less likely due to just how similar they're trying to make Xin to Lelouch. He has a rival from his past on whom his Geass was cast, as well as an innocent little sister-type character (probably not related by blood). He also seems to have his own agenda separate from Britannia, like he'll try to cause anarchy from within despite having Britannian nobility status.

Speaking of Lelouch, what exactly is his role in all of this? He seems to have taken up a second identity and seems to be working under Suzaku. This can't be some sort of alternative memory wipe, because he seems to maintain his rebellious nature. Also, there would be no reason to keep him restrained. So does this mean he still has his memories? And he's being used for Britannia's army? That can't be a good idea...under any circumstances.

Anyway, I'm not sure if the last part is some sort of preview, but if so, it looks like Suzaku will join the fray in the third installment. Just how many movies are there going to be? It seems like they have a lot of things to explain. We still don't even know C.C.'s involvement in all of this. She's supposed to be in here too, right? Also, this might be nitpicking, but can someone explain to me how each of the EU units was destroyed by a Britannian unit, and yet somehow no one was around to interrupt the meeting between Xin and Akito?

Once the effects of the brain raid wore off, the 3 Japanese were caught off guard.

Only Leila had a robot left by that point, but then again she was avoiding battle.

Unless you're speaking about the Britannians themselves, but they could have been given orders since they're all Xin's subordinates after all.

I was mostly talking about the Britannians. It was just surprising to me that they didn't interfere.

Really curious about Lelouch's role. He doesn't look brainwashed yet, why would he help them in defeating the european forces?
