Psycho Pass Episode 10

Kougami walked into the trap...to be fair, he knew it was coming. His deduction about the kidnapped girl was nice...I was wondering what exactly she was doing there as well. Similar to her, I thought she may have just been there to drag him down. I guess Makishima is content at this moment just to see the extent of Kougami's abilities rather than try to turn him (that may come later, though).

I wonder what to make of Ginoza's behavior at the end of the episode. While he harps on Kougami pretty harshly, he immediately calls in everything when the communication comes. I'm not sure whether that's consistent with his behavior or whether it shows he actually cares. Either way, I'm wondering if Makishima made it so easy for Kougami to call for help...the way the episode ended like that, surely they won't so easily find him.

On the point of Ginoza, He doesn't like the Akane x Kogami pairing. It pretty much lets Kogami run wild since Akane will either aid or not stand in his way. He fears that something bad will happen to both of them especially now with Makishima's resurgence. Kogami is on the war path obsessed with hunting him down and now he has his new bestest buddy Akane to help him.

So when he finds out that Kogami escaped Akane, he thought I knew this was coming and assumed the worst.

The sudden turn around at the end served two purposes

    1. Plot advancement
    2. Showed Ginoza's true feeling towards Kogami. He wanted to help him, but only in the event he was truly in trouble. If he did otherwise hed fail his duty as an Inspector and with no way to investigate or tell, he had to assume the worst.

Yeah, I thought so too...wasn't sure if I was reading too much into Ginoza
