Time to start another show. This show focuses around the idea of a chuunibyou, someone who essentially becomes lost in their own fantasies, believing that they have supernatural abilities. I originally thought that it might become a show that focused on the aspects of that “syndrome”, but more than likely, the plot will be plain and simple.
Our protagonist Togashi Yuuta will try his best to pull Takanashi Rikka, our afflicted heroine, into normal activities for people their age (I’m guessing this from the shots of Rikka in more plain clothing in the opening), while Rikka shows Yuuta that he should accept his experience being a chuunibyou. And this will play out through standard slice-of-life scenarios. Any objections?
Speaking of openings, I don’t know what to say other than that I liked the opening and ending for this show. The ending is a good song, but I was a little surprised to see a song of its style with this show…I suppose it could fit, though. The opening just worked…moving on.
I can definitely see Yuuta and Rikka being amusing characters…I don’t know if there’s supposed to be a reference for Rikka’s eye, but Yuuta is definitely Hei. Black Flame Dragon locked in a bandaged arm? Someone was watching too much Yu Yu Hakusho. Anyway, I’m assuming next week will introduce more if not the rest of the cast? The question we have to be asking ourselves: which of them are going to be chuunibyou as well and which of them will be normal? Or will Rikka be the only one?
Need more Chuunibyou girls! Try to think what will happen if all four of them are the same genre…*__*

Talking seriously, this looks like a typical slice of life with maybe 1-2 touching moments when Rikka's past is explored…
…and then stuff explodes?
Of course Rikka will awaken to her true power and become a supernatural hero of justice. :O
so…which of the main characters will die in this scenario?
