Continuing to go further and further into the past. Now we’re back to 10-year-old Watashi. I’m not sure what to make of this episode. Is Watashi trapped in another fairy dimension after she broke down in her loneliness? The way that other girl is acting is too excessive to be normal, so I’d say that’s the best bet.
The fairy brings up an interesting question of fairy death. Was it trying to say that fairies just come in and out of existence rather than formal birth or death? I’m not sure if this story will continue next week, but if it does, I would predict that Y (I think that’s her name) will show up to pull Watashi out of my theoretical fairy dimension and become her first friend…that’s normally how these things work, right?

I think that really is the case with the fairies. I suggested that they were machines in episode 9, and then you disagreed, leading me to consider that the fairies are magical beings that are neither alive or dead. The fairy stating that we disappear when we want to, pretty much shows that they just come into being and then get removed from existence.
I might actually be able to buy that they’re magical beings…
